    London Fashion Week

Eleni Renton, the founder of Quintessentially Models, has called for grants to be pulled from next month’s event, following the British Fashion Council’s (BFC) decision to abandon plans for compulsory health checks for models.

In an interview with The Sunday Telegraph, Miss Renton, the founder of the first self-styled “ethical” modelling agency - described the BFC’s decision as “weak” and “embarrassing” and called on the London Development Agency (LDA) to withdraw its £4.5 million funding for the event.

Overall, the collection was geared toward the young, showcasing unusual fabric choices, but using one color, namely black to tie them together, although white with deep fall colors was a commonly used print.

    Calvin Klein
Calvin’s Klein signature simplicity came through in Francisco Costa’s almost severe precision. Utilizing the Season’s deepest colors including a nearly black navy coat, the collection consisted mainly of black. This plunging maxi cocktail dress would be too simple if it weren’t for the metallic sheen of the fabric that contrasts brilliantly with the minimalist design of the dress. If you’re one of those people who hasn’t cleaned out your closets in decades, you could be in pretty good wardrobe shape: It’s time to pull out those bell bottoms and pop on those platform shoes!

Being “fashion forward” this fall means looking back, to the styles of the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s.
