Hermes’ Kelly bag, named for actress and Princess of Monaco Grace Kelly, and Fendi’s Baguette bag, reminiscent in shape of the French bread, achieved almost cult status among fashion leaders during their heyday.
It wasn’t just brands like Hermes, Fendi and Louis Vuitton, which are arguably better known for their bags than clothes. Giorgio Armani and Dolce and Gabbana, which had previously thrived in clothing, introduced dozens of bags at their fashion shows.
