First, a disclaimer on our headline…no, Brad Pitt is not looking to adopt even more children.

Rather, the 44 year-old actor has signed on to play the lead character, Lt Aldo Raine, in director Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming remake of Enzo Castellari’s 1978 World War II film, “Inglorious Bastards.”

Set to begin principle photography this October, the film is expected to be a slight departure from the original, with Pitt leading a group of Jewish-American soldiers in a mission of revenge against German soldiers in Nazi occupied France.

The original, titled “Quel maledetto treno blindato” (That Damned Armored Train) told the story of 5 convicted soldiers who escape an armored train en-route to a military prison, and wind up joining the French Resistance on their way to Switzerland.
