Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie has given birth to twins, a boy and a girl, her doctor at a hospital in southern France said on Sunday.
Oscar winner Jolie, 33, had the twins by caesarean section on Saturday evening at the Lenval hospital on the glamorous Promenade des Anglais waterfront drive in Nice. Actor Brad Pitt, the twins’ father, was at her side.
The girl, named Vivienne Marcheline, weighed 2.27 kg (5 lbs) while her brother, Knox Leon, weighed 2.28 kg. Marcheline was the first name of Jolie’s mother, also an actress, who died of cancer last year. Read the rest of this entry »
The “Training Day” actor and his girlfriend Ryan Shawhughes tied the knot in June.
“They were married last month in NYC,” says the actor’s rep. “No further details are available.”
Shawhughes was once the nanny of Hawke’s two kids — Maya, 10, and Levon, 6 — with Thurman. The “Kill Bill” actress and Hawke married in 1998 after they met on the set of “Gattaca,” but she filed for a divorce six years later amidst rumors of his infidelity. DeAnna Pappas, the latest lady to look for love on ABC’s reality romance series The Bachelorette, may be one step closer to finding her ”fairy-tale ending” after accepting a wedding proposal from 26-year-old professional snowboarder Jesse Csincsak at the conclusion of Monday night’s season finale.
The couple appeared together on the After the Final Rose special, which aired following the finale, and announced that they have set a date, planning to be married in May 2009.
On the finale, before DeAnna said yes to Jesse on a beachfront platform in the Bahamas, she had to awkwardly stop the show’s other finalist, 31-year-old account executive Jason Mesnick, in mid-kneel before he could even say anything. ON DAY 1 of Paris Fashion Week, Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West was kicking it in the front row at Louis Vuitton, kitted out in a teal T-shirt, khakis and a denim jacket accessorized with a Michael Jackson button and a chunky red Lego heart. What appeared to be a silk LV scarf billowed from his back pocket.
On Day 2, West was wading through the human stew outside Kris Van Assche and Junya Watanabe in a gray notch lapel blazer and red pocket square. On Day 3, the look was brown leather with a crisp black detachable hood and slim-fitting gray dress shirt buttoned up to the chin and a pair of spotless white Vans lace-ups.
