WordPress API Key Confusion

I have my blog hosted in my own domain name ( www.kissfendi.com) …and I need an API key. So I tried to register a blog /kissfendi.wordpress.com at wordpress.com just to get an API key but when I used to my wordpress self-hosted blog for my stat plug in.. my stat plugin doesn’t show any stat at all? instead it shows the stat from my wordpress.com (/kissfendi.wordpress.com) hosted blog…

What is it? So confusing.. any help.. I tried to read a lot of entries regarding.. but it really confused meh! ;(

This is what I did:

1. I have my wordpress self hosted blog www.kissfendi.com

(I uploaded a Stat plugin so needed an API key)

2. I registered a blog at wordpress.com like this /kissfendi.wordpress.com to get my API key

3. I activated the Stat plugin and put my API key for my www.kissfendi.com blog.

But it doesn’t show any stat for my www.kissfendi.com blog, instead it shows stats for the blog I registered /kissfendi.wordpress.com

Ahaii.. sooo confusing..

How to get my API key for my www.kissfendi.com blog?

How to make wordpress stat works?
