LONDON FASHION WEEK STARTS HERE

THERE’s a mere five weeks and three days to go until London Fashion Week gets under way and - as if we weren’t panicked enough about our new season wardrobes - the provisional show schedule has just been released.
As per last season, Paul Costelloe will kick off the catwalk action on Sunday, February 10, and Julien Macdonald retains his traditional slot as the finale - this season showing at 7.30pm on Friday, February 15.
While the week is shaping up to be as thrilling as ever - thanks to UK design heavyweights such as Paul Smith, Giles, Luella, Marios Schwab and Gareth Pugh - the shows all self-respecting fashionistas are circling in red pen include Jaeger London’s debut at the British Fashion Council Tent on Sunday, February 10, and the back-to-back outing of TopShop’s New Generation newbies, Krystof Strozyna and MeadhamKirchhoff, the following morning.
With the winners of last year’s Fashion Fringe, Aminaka Wilmont, staging their first independent show and Dame Vivienne Westwood livening up the proceedings with the first ever show for her Red Label line, at an as-yet unnamed venue, autumn/winter 2008-9 - London-style - is looking very appealing indeed. /vogue.co.uk
