The Sydney Design Guide is a pocket-sized compendium of the best designers, labels, galleries and stores, as well as cafes, bars and accommodation (whew - that’s a lot to fit into 356 compact pages!).

And it’s all put together with easy-to-follow walking tours of the key design precincts.

Viviane Stappmanns, the co-editor of the guide, explains: “You know how, when you go to visit friends in another city, they write a big list of things you should do and look at?

“We were interested in putting together something that people who come to the city or are new to design [can use] to see who is out there, what they are doing and give them the opportunity to hook up with them.” /smh.com.au
