Stella McCartney was named Designer of the Year at the British Fashion Awards 2007 at Westminster’s Lawrence Hall London Tuesday, November 27. The event saw singer Lily Allen and burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese make notable style statements.
Instituted by the British Fashion Council the annual awards recognize the best emerging and established fashion talents within the British fashion industry.
The winners are picked by a panel of top fashion editors, retailers and influencers chaired by British Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman.
Lily Allen: In the pink of health
Lily Allen, who shed 21 pounds in just six weeks and dropped from size 12 to 8, after she was diagnosed with heart murmur, appeared to be in the pink of health walking the red carpet in a strapless pastel dress with a boned bodice and vertical spiky ruffle detail bottom.
She matched the dress with pink high heeled peep toe pumps. Her finger nails were painted yellow. /sawf.org
