Daisy Lowe is a model with a serious rock ‘n’ roll heritage.
Her mum, Pearl Lowe, is a Brit Pop singer turned designer, her dad is Gavin Rossdale from Bush (and husband of Gwen Stefani), and her stepfather is Danny Goffey the drummer from Supergrass. Not bad eh.
As we know rockers are not the shrinking violet types, and with Daisy the genes clearly kicked in.

Stella McCartney was named Designer of the Year at the British Fashion Awards 2007 at Westminster’s Lawrence Hall London Tuesday, November 27. The event saw singer Lily Allen and burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese make notable style statements.
Instituted by the British Fashion Council the annual awards recognize the best emerging and established fashion talents within the British fashion industry.
The winners are picked by a panel of top fashion editors, retailers and influencers chaired by British Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman.

Young designers from England, Finland and Germany start their own independent fashion label – defying the rules of the fashion industry
“I have always had a passion for fashion and always wanted to design clothes that will bring you out and have that unique part of what we all have” – says James, 17-year-old fashion designer from Norwich, UK.
This credo has made him part of one of the hippest fashion labels around: the independent international fashion brand DOPAMIN. “I would love to see you wear my design!”, he smiles.
A handful of young, talented designers from all over Europe have joined forces to leave their mark in the international fashion scene. By founding the independent fashion label DOPAMIN they are opposing anything that makes the fashion industry go round: No middle-aged corporate types.

When Sydney designer Kerry Grima first moved to Bali 19 years ago, fashion was defined by the cheap rip-offs, sarongs and Bintang Beer t-shirts favoured by budget travellers who kicked off mass tourism to the Indonesian island.
Today, t-shirts bearing vulgar slogans such as Give Me Head Til I’m Dead still sell for as little as 20,000 rupiah (A$2.40) at Kuta’s dusty stalls. But Bali’s reinvention as an upmarket destination is giving rise to a new brand of high-street chic.
