You can buy a bikini with $90 and still have change for a beach towel and a book, but that didn’t stop 500 people from each shelling out that amount just to see bikinis paraded down a catwalk in Brisbane last night.
Sex and skin sell, and nowhere more than in the Sunshine State, where the swimwear show wasamong the first to sell out atthe Brisbane Fashion Festival.
For their $90, guests were bussed from the city to Howard Smith Wharf, next to the former home of Brisbane’s water police underneath Storey Bridge, where they dined on fish and chips and champagne before models showcased the latest looks by swimwear designers including Katie Moubarak, Jets and Brothers Neilsen.
