Mysteries of Ashton Kutcher’s Room 401

The crunchy Ashton Kutcher for “Room 401 takes a Punk’d approach to the horror genre, surprising unaware victims with terrifying illusions like the miraculous reattachment of severed hands, and live crabs bursting out of a man’s chest.
But astute viewers began noticing subliminal clues planted within the episodes by Kutcher himself, and in following the clues uncovered a tangled network of websites leading to a much larger game.

By building upon the already eerie nature of Houdini’s more arcane illusions (reminiscient of the magic done in The Prestige, except for reals), those behind Room 401 have crafted a coy little game — its lack of a clear objective only adding to the intrigue.
The question of what Harry Houdini, Pope Innocent 1, and World War I have in common can’t be the main mystery, but it sure is enough to drive the action forward.
