Now there’s an act “The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act” that protects consumers from abusive debt collectors. So if one day you encounter these harassing debt collectors this act serves your rights. This act FDCPA was enacted to ensure that no consumer put up with any of it and be given an opportunity to manage their debt in a civil manner.
Time to stop those bothering collectors who can’t respect some of our privacy and don’t know how to consider our civil rights. Although the FDCPA offers broad protections, it only applies under certain circumstances such as; the debt must be a consumer debt. The FDCPA will not apply if the debt is a business debt.
