AT&T Rebranding Cingular Wireless

I think this is a good strategy that AT&T and Cingular will merge. Just imagine two big companies into one can create a big impact, which means better services and wider coverage with strengths of several cutting-edge telecommunication companies.
It’s a smart way of approach since it has nothing new to merging companies and people receive it nicely and in different ways. Its respective customers could adopt the new services certainly well. Noticing as it’s not just this time that big companies will operate as one and in one big name, we can see that people accept the fact that there will be much better services will be provided after the merge, so this idea is somewhat exciting.
AT&T has been known to most Americans as one of the country’s most time honored household brands and so as Cingular that has been known for providing good services to American wireless subscribers.
These days big companies have been merging and I think it is really a good strategy not only for the company but also to the customer who can have more benefits in terms of services and functionality. By June, the AT&T name is expected to have replaced the Cingular name entirely and here what it means to Cingular Cell Phone Customers.
In the course of the year 2007, cell phone customers will see the brand AT&T reappear and gradually replace Cingular Wireless. This change will occur in two phases. In the first phase, cell phones and cell phone services marketed by this new partnership will be offered under the combined brand AT&T Cingular.
This will help wireless customers get accustomed to this change and learn to identify the two brands as one. In the second phase, the name Cingular will be dropped, leaving the new AT&T name as the only brand for this company’s cell phones and wireless services.
